Pastor Pillack
I was born to Ben and Lydia (Mersiovsky) Pillack on February 4, 1932, at Walburg, Texas. I was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church, Walburg, Texas. At age 4, the family moved to Fedor, Texas, were I attended Trinity Lutheran School and confirmed on March 25, 1945. In the sixth grade, the family moved to Alfred, Texas. I went to high school at Concordia Academy, Austin, Texas. I attended Concordia Teachers College, Seward, Nebraska. On June 6, 1953, Norma(Seehusen) and I were united in marriage at Immmanuel Lutheran Church, Pomeroy, Iowa.To this union were born 4 children: Sherilyn, Timothy, Becky and Beth. I taught school at St. Paul Lutheran School, Kingsville, Texas, and Our Savior Lutheran School, Houston, Texas. From there I started my seminary work at CTS, Springfield, Illinois. I vicared at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Garrison, Iowa. From there we went to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wilbert, Minnesota, Trinity Lutheran Church, Hampton, Iowa, St. John's Lutheran Church, Russellville, Arkansas, Faith Lutheran Church, Nevada, Iowa, and, after retirement, served as visitation pastor at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Des Moines, Iowa. To God be all the glory! (Revelations 2: 10) |
